Paul graduated from The Royal Veterinary College in 1997.  He spent a year in first opinion practice before completing a junior clinical training scholarship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery, and then a three year senior clinical training scholarship in Veterinary Cardiopulmonary Medicine at the R(D)SVS, The University of Edinburgh.  Paul became a RCVS Recognised Specialist in Veterinary Cardiology in 2005.

Since 2003 he has been working in private referral practice.  He has published numerous articles and given presentations home and abroad.  His main areas of interest are clinical cardiopulmonary medicine and interventional cardiology.
